Business Development in Europe @ EADA Business School
Returning to EADA Business School always feels like stepping back into an inspiring community of ambition, curiosity, and exploration. This year, I have the pleasure of guiding our 3rd-year BBA students as they continue their journey toward becoming the business professionals of tomorrow.
What makes this role meaningful is helping students understand why international business development is key in today’s world. Economic sustainable growth, cross-border collaboration, and global competition are interconnected forces, and successful professionals are those who can navigate—and even shape—these dynamics.
Why International Development Skills Matter
In the current European and global context, business development cannot be confined to the local or national level. The ability to spot opportunities in new markets, build sustainable partnerships across borders, and navigate uncertainty with resilience and agility has become a defining factor of business leadership. These are not abstract ideas, but practical abilities that determine which organizations last in an increasingly complex environment.
Beyond the First Job
For students, mastering these skills is about cultivating a mindset. A mindset that allows them to:
Anticipate economic and technological shifts.
Think critically to challenge established practices.
Shape organizations that operate on a regional and global stage.
Balance short-term pressures with long-term robustness and sustainability.
The Energy of a New Generation
This generation of international students engage with international challenges not as barriers, but as opportunities. They approach complexity with curiosity and openness, qualities that are essential to reimagining industries and developing bold solutions to tomorrow’s problems. As their professor, I see my role not simply as teaching concepts, but as facilitating this transformation—pushing them to sharpen their skills, broaden their worldviews, and dare to think beyond borders.
And that is what makes being back at EADA so rewarding: the privilege of preparing these future professionals to thrive in a world where international business development is both a challenge and an opportunity.
